Summer jewellery Course

Josephine will introduce you to the art of handcrafted jewellery making, using traditional techniques. You can learn at your own pace in a friendly and relaxed environment.

During the 5 days course you will be introduced to traditional jewellery techniques such as soldering, filing, polishing etc. During the first 4 days you will be following set out project in order to gain understanding and use some of those techniques to complete your own project on the 5th day.

All material (incl. Silver), tools, equipment’s and support is provided as well as refreshments. There will be a 30 mins lunch break were you are welcome to bring your own lunch or you can visit the onsite coffee house. Also make sure you wear practical clothing and fully covered footwear (no open toes shoes).

This course is set out on specific days for up to 3 students at a time.

Five week Jewelry Workshop

Josephine will introduce you to the art of handcrafted jewellery making, using traditional techniques. You can learn at your own pace in a friendly and relaxed environment.

This course is ideal for those who want to nurture their artistic flair by designing their own piece of jewellery.

During this workshop you will begin by choosing designs from sample pieces and pictures including rings, pendants, brooches, earrings and bracelets. You will then progress to produce a chain or design your own pieces.

Jewelry will be made in Silver using a range of traditional techniques resulting in a professional looking piece to take home or to give to someone as a gift.

This workshop usually runs on Thursdays from 10am – 12:30pm, and 4pm – 6:30pm, but days are flexible upon request. All experience levels welcome, all material, tools and equipment are provided as well as refreshments.

This workshop is a perfect experience to share with friends and family and would make a fantastic gift for a creative loved one. You can choose this gift option from the drop down menu.

No previous knowledge required. Please insure that you wear fully closed shoes and practical clothing.

Jewelry Workshop Day

Josephine will introduce you to the art of handcrafted jewellery making, using traditional techniques. You can learn at your own pace in a friendly and relaxed environment.

This jewelry workshop is a fantastic opportunity to try a new craft. In this class you will learn how to use traditional tools and  jewelry making techniques. During the 6 hours you will firstly choose your design from a variety of samples, you will then be taken through the jewelry making process step by step until you have a beautiful, professional looking piece of silver jewelry to take home with you.

All materials, tools and equipment are provided, as well as refreshments. There will be a 30 minute break for lunch where you could visit our onsite cafe or bring your own lunch and sit by the canal.

This workshop usually runs on Saturdays & Wednesdays from 10-4pm, but days and dates are flexible upon request. Once the workshop has been purchased the artist will get in touch with you to arrange a date that suits. Unless it is a gift experience then a gift card will be sent out to you. Inside will be a website address for the gift recipient to follow detailing the course and the artists contact details. They can then contact the artist themselves to make arrangements.

Pottery Painting Workshop

Over 10 weekly one and a half hour sessions you will learn a variety of glazing skills using a range of studio glazes and interesting techniques.

How we will break it down

Basic glazes, Spongeing, Marblin
g, Crackle glaze, Paper resist, Wax resist, Stamping, Sgraffito, Crystal glazes, Banding

Week by week you’ll build up a collection of tiles demonstrating each technique.

COST – £100 per adult & £75 per child

Each workshop is £100 each (gift £102) the session starts at 10.30am on Sunday mornings and lasts 1.5 hrs for 10 weeks. The course would make a fantastic gift for a creative loved one. If you choose this option from the drop down menu you will be posted a handcrafted gift card with details of the course inside.

This class is made even more enjoyable simply by the setting. Saz’s ceramic studio is well equipped, and has an inspiring, creative atmosphere and of course is based at the wonderful Red House Glass Cone. You could have lunch after the class sat by the canal or in the on site cafe, take a walk around the beautiful historic building and visit the numerous other craft studios on site.
