During this workshop you will learn how to cut and layer glass to create a beautiful fused glass owl hanger. It is a course suitable for both beginners and more experienced fusers. The base of the owl will be pre cut and fused, you will be able to use coloured glass and paints to decorate your own design on the owl.
Jane will demonstrate how to use the tools and equipment safely. How to cut glass and different techniques of glass fusing that can be used to create a more intricate design. Come and let your imagination fly!

What’s included in the price?
The class is made even more enjoyable simply by the setting. The Glass Quarter Designs studio is well equipped, and has an inspiring, creative atmosphere and of course is based at the wonderful Red House Glass Cone. You could have lunch sitting by the canal or try our on site cafe although tea and coffee will be provided. Take a walk around the beautiful historic building, glass blowing demonstrations are held weekend afternoons and there are numerous other craft studios on site to visit.
All materials and tools will be provided. No previous knowledge required. Please ensure you wear fully closed shoes and practical clothing.
Your pieces will need to fired over night, but will be available for collection a few days after the course. Or they can be posted for a small additional fee.
