Come and make some original glass beads and create your own unique jewellery!
Join glass bead artist Sarah Cordingley for a wonderfully creative and fun-filled workshop learning the great techniques of lampwork glass bead making. This intimate workshop of 4 people is suitable for complete beginners and those wanting to improve their skills. During this session, Sarah will take you through techniques such as creating stripes of colour, encasing to create a magnified pattern, spots, swirls and much more! Choose the colours you would like to use from our glass store and by the end the session you will have made a unique glass bead necklace to be proud of.
Your beads will be annealed in the kiln and will be available for you to collect the following week or we can post your beads to you for a small charge.
The courses are held on the site of the Red House Glass Cone, near Stourbridge in the heart of the Glass Quarter. You can spend some time looking around the site, glass blowing demonstrations are held weekend afternoons. There is also a coffee shop on site but tea and coffee will be provided.
